An album that reunites Natalie Cole with the smooth soul team of Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancey – the team who did such a great job with Natalie's Capitol debut, and who really continue the groove here too! The album's got a rock-solid approach through and through – a quality that has Natalie really standing out on her own as a positive young artist in soul – without any need to nod towards her father, as in later years. And Jackson and Yancey bring a nice dose of Chicago soul class to the affair – which turns out to be a perfect match for Natalie's vocals! Titles include "Be Mine Tonight", "Party Lights", "This Heart", "I've Got Love On My Mind", and "Still In Love". (Cover has a cutout hole and tape on the spine.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Love Storm
Capitol, 1977. Near Mint- Gatefold
A definite love storm from Tavares – a set that has the group's vocal approach honed to perfection – really soaring high with some sweet clubby arrangements from Freddie Perren! The album came at a time when the group was riding high on mainstream disco fame – but it's hardly a ... LP, Vinyl record album

I Want You
Tamla, 1976. Very Good-
An incredible record – quite possibly our favorite ever by Marvin Gaye! The album is quite unique – written by Leon Ware, and recorded in collaboration with him – done as a "suite" of tracks based on themes of passion, joy, and new love – all of which were very ... LP, Vinyl record album

MGM, 1972. Very Good
Some of the warmest Memphis soul ever recorded – a really classic set from The Ovations, done in a style that's really unique! The vibe here is different from the sound of Stax, as lead singer Louis Williams has a lot of Sam Cooke in his style – a warmly bubbling quality that's as ... LP, Vinyl record album

Joneses
Epic, 1977. Very Good+
A killer for the Joneses – probably their strongest album all the way through, thanks to some great production and arrangements by Bobby Eli! The album's got the group taking the fragile harmony style of their earlier records, and filtering it through the Philly powerhouse groove to create a ... LP, Vinyl record album

Casablanca, 1976. Sealed
An oft-overlooked gem from Parliament – released during the year 1976, and sometimes hidden between monster LPs like Funkentelechy and Mothership Connection – but every bit as great as those two classics! The album's got that tightened-up P-Funk sound that was working so perfectly at ... LP, Vinyl record album
