Yaju Oukoku Live (Japanese paper sleeve edition)
CD (Item 603779) Clinck (Japan), 1996 — Condition: New Copy
A double-length live set from this tight Japanese fusion combo – a quartet with very heavy keyboards in the mix, as you might guess from the Korg placement on the cover – and some razor-sharp guitar from Hirokuni Korkikaia! Hiro's got a style that's tight, but never overly polished – at least not in the live setting here – and he steps out with a frenetic edge that recalls some of the most jamming fusion guitarists of the 70s – a quality that's bound to reach out and impress non-jazz audiences with his deft work on solos. Tracks are long, and plenty jamming – and titles include "Gold Rush", "Purple Saurus", "Now Or Never", "Last Blues", "Tears Of Mermaid", "Dimension Traveler", and "Z Paradise". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | ||||||
