Oskar Werner stars as a classical conductor in this film – and about half the music is excerpted from Beethoven, Tchiakovsky, and Brahms. The rest was written by Georges Delerue – and has a sweetly swelling feel that's similar to some of his more romantic soundtrack work of the time. The title track, "Interlude", is a nice sad pop number with Timi Yuro on vocals – and the album also includes the sweeping "Must It Happen Once To Everyone", and the tracks "Bittersweet Interlude" and "Interlude" (Stereo pressing with deep groove.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

One of Burt Bacharach's finest moments, and a soundtrack that we never tire of hearing! Burt wrote all the tunes – and the album's a wonderful romp, with lots of odd twists and turns that are quite different from Burt's usual bag (baby!), but which still have all of the charm of his best ... RCA, 1965. Very Good
An amazing little soundtrack that's almost better than the show for which it was written! The set's a landmark batch of work from Hugo Montenegro – working here in a jazzy style that has lots of 60s mod touches – traces of spy soundtrack influence, but a bit more straight ahead too ... A sublime soundtrack from John Barry – common, to be sure, but also a wonderfully-crafted set that goes way beyond the stereotypes of his work for the James Bond films! United Artists, 1974. Very Good
Although the great Lenny Bruce never appeared in the Bob Fosse film based on his tragic story, Dustin Hoffman did a pretty great job of recreating his style, and of bringing together good performances of some of the most important monologues by Lenny, which are often missing from his other recorded ... A great little soundtrack from Michel Legrand – an early American effort, done for a less-remembered Dean Martin film! The title track features vocals from the Ray Conniff singers, who sweeten up Legrand's sound a bit more than usual – but other tracks are instrumentals, and have a ... LP, Vinyl record album

One of the greatest albums ever from organist Charles Earland – a double-length set that's filled with spiritual, soaring grooves!
