Alpha & Omega (with bonus tracks)
CD (Item 482427) Funky Delicacies, 1973 — Condition: New Copy
The headiest work we've ever heard from the mighty Phil Flowers – and some of the funkiest, too! The set is a really unique concept album – one that travels the path from earthly sin to spiritual redemption – covering a lot of hip territory along the way, as Phil messes around in a number of different styles! Things start out very dark and heavy as the world is created, get a bit romantic in the Garden of Eden, then really start to rock as man takes his fall – stepping out with lots of badass basslines and heavy grooves. Guitar gets plenty of play in the set – both fuzzed-up and wah wah – and vocals are mostly by Phil, with help from the group at points. Titles include "Prostitution", "Devil's Theme", "God's Creation", "First Man", "Fire Fire", "I Can See The Sunlight", and "Alpha & Omega". CD includes bonus tracks – "God's Creation 1st Movement (alt version)", "God's Creation 2nd Movement (alt version)", "Adam & Eve's Love Song/First Man (alt version)", "Abortion (alt version)" & I Can See The Sunlight (alt version)". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
