New York Dolls
LP (Item 76705) Mercury, 1973 — Condition: New Copy
"I need a fix – and a kiiiiiiiiiissssssss!" What can we say? Thunders, Sylvain, Johansen & co. re-invented the wheel with their brand of wildly hedonist glam skronk – five Noo Yawk mooks with big hair, tons of make up and heels, and they could still kick yer arse and steal your girl! This is the bona fide masterpiece – with "Personality Crisis", "Looking For A Kiss", "Trash", "Frankenstein", "Pills" and the rest. "Produced" by Todd Rundgren, but perhaps more tellingly engineered by Jack Douglas – who's name you might not recognize, but he also produced the first Cheap Trick album, which is nearly as wild and raucous as this one is. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
