Quite possibly the best release so far on Adventure Music – a really beautiful blend of acoustic guitar, jazzy flute, warm bass, and earthy percussion! Guitarist Marcos Amorim is clearly the star of the show here, but the album's also got a strongly collaborative spirit that takes the set way past just a simple instrumentalist effort – a quality that makes most tunes dance with a nice little jazzy edge, and come off with the best sort of warm interplay that we love in older bossa recordings of this type. Production is bright, but never too slick – and the flute of Nivaldo Ornelas sounds really great next to Amorim's guitar. Percussion and drums are by Robertinho Silva, and titles include "Coisas Demais Por Fazer", "Luz Da Lua", "Amandy", "Pedra Da Sorte", "Sonhos Indianos", "Mr Z", and "Homenagiando Garoto". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
