Two of Poland's greatest musical assets – together on one CD – as the groovy groovy Novi Singers turn their talents towards the work of Frederic Chopin – singing his compositions in a jazzy harmony style that's quite similar to the 60s classics of The Swingle Singers! The approach is really great – as Chopin's warm and romantic style of writing is a perfect match for Novi's magical vocal harmonies – with just the right mix of flourishes and melody to really show off their amazing talents. Novi are singing here in all-acapella style – and titles include "Preludium Des Dur Op 28 Nr 15", "Ballada F-Moll Op 52", "Grande Valse Brillante Op 34 Nr 2", "Mazurek E Moll Op 41 Nr 2", and "Scherzo H-Moll OP 20" – not the catchiest titles in the world, but some really great music. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
