CD (Item 65851) Universal (France), Late 60s — Condition: New Copy

A treasure trove of groovy tunes from 60s France – one of the most wonderful pop scenes of the 20th century, perfectly captured in this great set! The tunes really know how to groove – blending guitars, tight drums, lots of bass, and other cool elements – all in support of catchy little singers, many of whom we'd never heard of, but all of whom really rock our world – despite an obvious language difference! These tunes are all pretty darn great – the kind of numbers that grab you immediately with a groovy magic that's never been duplicated! Titles include "Diba Diba" by Boby Lapointe, "Tu Crois Toujours" by Virgine, "Marilu" by Serge Gainsbourg, "Heuruex Tous Lex Deux" by Frank Alamo, "I Got You Babe" by Eddie Vartan, "Sensationnel Jeffry" by Annie Philippe, "Jimmy Est Parti" by Anouk, "Mon Ami" by Chris Kersen, and "Le Roi D'Angleterre" by Nino Ferrer.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
