Black Album – Pete Rock Remix
CD (Item 494879) Good Foot, 2004 — Condition: Used
Good Foot DJ Quo sets the Black Album vocals to beats by Pete Rock! Yeah, we're sick of Black Album remixes, too, (and Grey, and Brown, and Puce and Paisley. . .) but it's tough to argue with this one. Quo arranges Pete's most soulful beats with Jigga's introspective words, and it couldn't be a better fit. Plus, the languorous Pete Rock groove really stretches the whole thing out in a great way. It's all here: "December 4", "Moment Of Clarity", "Justify My Thug" (preferable to the track's production on the Black Album, to our ears) , "PSA", "Threat", "99 Problems", "Change Clothes", "Dirt Off Your Shoulder" and the rest. Nice! (Long out of print.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
