Shangri-Las 65
LP (Item 538322) Red Bird, 1965 — Condition: New Copy
Seminal girl group sounds from the Shangri-Las – served up with a slightly dark undercurrent that's mighty nice! The group are awash here in Brill Building sounds – getting some nice arrangements from Artie Butler, Jeff Barry, and others – all in a mode that's slightly less than a wall of sound, but which works well to push the girls' voices forward. Titles include "Right Now & Not Later", "Never Again", "The Train From Kansas City", "Out In The Streets", "The Dum Dum Ditty", "What's A Girl Supposed To Do", and "Give Us Your Blessings". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
