No Answer
7-inch (Item 523675) Colemine, 2010 — Condition: New Copy
A split single from a pair of the sharp neo classic funk combos on the Colemine label – the Afro funk steeped Brooklyn crew Ikebe Shakedown and midwestern raw funk revivalists The Jive Turkeys – each taking a turn on the Ikebe Shaketown cut "No Answer"! Ikebe Shakedown's version also appears on their more than solid Hard Steppin EP, one of the more simmering numbers on that set with a measured, but no less funky approach with real heat! The Jive Turkeys do it raw, fast and floor shaking with some wicked organ grooves, heavy drums, a killer bass groove and scratchy guitar. A very cool dual purpose funk approach by the 2 groups! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
