I Got The Melody
LP (Item 77021) RCA, 1981 — Condition: Used
Odyssey certainly does have the melody – and that's always been one of the factors that's made them stand out from the rest! Even though the group worked largely in a territory that had a strong dancefloor feel, they always put enough work into their vocals and overall tunes to make for work that was always a cut above. The melody reigns supreme on this set – pushing tunes with an extra level of catchiness that really helps them groove! Includes the tracks "Baby That's All I Want", "I Got The Melody", "Hold On To Love", "I Can't Keep Holding Back My Love", and "Roots Suite", a nice set of tracks based around Lamont Dozier's "Going Back To My Roots". (Dutch pressing. Cover has a 3 inch center split on the spine.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
