A massive look at the music of Greyboy – one that features classic cuts, previously unreleased tracks, and rare mixes as well! Back in the early 90s, when most of the few funky records coming out of the west coast were pretty darn weak, Greyboy really caught our ears with his raw, stripped-down approach to a groove – a sound that was influenced by 70s funky jazzy, but also done with some harder, heavier beats as well – really the first great American contribution to the sound that bubbled out from the London acid jazz scene – yet done with a much harder edge than most of its overseas progenitors! This package is a great reminder of why we first fell in love with Greyboy's music all those years back – and it's filled with loads of funky cuts from years back, plus some recent mixes and singles that really help expand the collection.
