Soul Makossa
CD (Item 14889) Unidisc, 1972 — Condition: New Copy
Very nice compilation of some of the best of Manu Dibango's afro funky tracks from the early 70's! The folks at Unidisc licensed this stuff from Musidisc in France, and the set's got a lot of killer hard funky tracks, like the hit "Soul Makossa", plus "O Boso", "Pepe Soup", "Senga", "Mwasa Makossa", and "Super Kumba". There's a few weaker cuts, but most of this stuff kicks ass, and rocks with a hard afro funky groove that few other groups ever matched. And don't be fooled by other cheap compilations of his work, this is the original stuff! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
