Did power pop ever get any more perfect than this? It's hard to think so – and more than 25 years later, this album's got a raw power that's still undeniable! The album features The Jam at their early best – still with the rougher punky edges firmly in place, but also able to bring in some of the more soulful touches that would really dominate Paul Weller's career in later years. The group kicks it hard with tunes that include "Billy Hunt", "A Bomb In Wardour Street", "Down In The Tube Station At Midnight", "Mr Clean", and a great cover of "David Watts" – then surprises us even more with the beautifully gentle tune "English Rose".  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Sire, 1977. New Copy (reissue)
A masterpiece of American punk rock – and arguably the greatest moment ever for the legendary Stiv Bators! The album's got an intensity that blows away most of the UK groups who were making waves in the punk scene at the time – a raw energy that's a closer link to the Stooges and MC5 ... A pivotal moment for Bob Dylan – and maybe one of THE albums of the 60s! The newly-electrified Dylan really takes off here – putting more punch and bit into his already-strong lyrical approach – and twisting things in amazing ways that still leave us breathless all these many ... The masterful debut of Television! Marquee Moon is indisputably one of best records to come out of late 70s NYC . It's truly a singular achievement – one of the few records that seems to be on every rock literati's list of the all-time-bests – and actually deserves every bit of praise ... LP, Vinyl record album
Sundazed, Mid 60s. New Copy Gatefold
A fantastic collection of unreleased material by mid-to-late 60s psych pop songwriter genius Tandyn Almer – who's probably best know for penning the eternally great "Along Comes Mary" for The Association – but we sure didn't know how great of a performer he was on his own! ... Van Dyke Parks' masterpiece – and one of the hippest records to come out of LA in the 60s! The album's a strangely anachronistic one – steeped in the kind of past-days scoring found on early records by Harpers Bizarre and Randy Newman (both of which Parks had a hand in!), wrapped ... Epic/Sundazed, 1968. New Copy (reissue)
The rare mono mix of Hurdy Gurdy Man – easily one of the headiest Donovan albums of the 60s – a record that moves past the simple psychedelic pop of earlier hits, and into a range of mind-expanding themes and styles! There's a cerebral quality here that seems to take hold even on the ... LP, Vinyl record album
Mirkwood
Machu Pichu, 1973. New Copy (reissue)
A cool and uber-rare self-titled set from Mirkwood – a raw batch of heavy rock from the early 70s that works so much better than similar records from the era that had much bigger production budget – thanks to this one feeling nice, raw and direct! The band is excellent – with ... LP, Vinyl record album

Sunset/Sundazed, 1963. New Copy Gatefold (reissue)
Seminal 60s surf sounds from Adrian & The Sunsets – a smoking little combo who've got a razor-sharp sound on both tenor sax and guitar!
