One of The Maestro's true materpieces! Fragile, sexy, sinful soul, held together by interwoven strings and keyboard lines, with Barry's voice over the top like rich cream on a sweet piece of cake. Includes the long versions of "Honey Please, Can't Ya See" and "Never, Never Gonna Give You Up", plus "Hard To Believe That I Found You". (In the original quad-fold cover with the heavy inner sleeve. Cover has initials in pen on the top corner.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

My Musical Bouquet
20th Century, 1978. Near Mint-
Late stuff – but one of the best Barry White-related albums from the 70s! The record has the Orchestra moving at a much slower pace than usual – perhaps in an answer to all the too-fast too-orchestrated disco that took a cue from Barry's earlier work – and the record bravely hits ... Do You Have The Time
20th Century, 1972. Very Good
Once a raw harmony group, the Younghearts moved into a sweeter, smoother soul vein for their 20th Century recordings, and the result is an excellent batch of modern soul tracks with a nice groove to them. This album includes their great groover "Do You Have The Time (parts 1 & 2)", ... LP, Vinyl record album

Keep It In The Family
20th Century, 1974. Very Good+
Leon's moving from the rawer soul of his earlier days, but he still hasn't hit the sly LA funk sound of his "Freaky To You" years. The record's a good batch of tracks that show the LA sound of the 60s turning into the smooth slinky one of the 70s – and Gene Page is at hand to ... LP, Vinyl record album

Samba Soul
RCA, Mid 70s. Very Good+
Album of clubby, uptempo stuff, recorded in Rio, and with a bit of a Brazilian feel to it. The tracks are long and fast, and include medleys of "Girl From Ipanema/Manha De Carnaval" and "Chove Chuva/Mas Que Nada", as well as a few other Brazilian tracks. There's also a version ... Wild Is Love
Capitol, 1969. Very Good+
Nice album of baroque soul from this Chicago diva. Recorded after her big hit "Tell Him", this one has her moving into a more sophisticated style, in which she sings a suite of songs by Dotti Wayne and Ray Rasch. Richard Evans did the arrangements, and the whole thing is a great relic ... LP, Vinyl record album
