After cutting some albums of straighter jazz material during the late 50s, Ernestine did this nice album of supper-club soul for Sue, with some sweet fragile arrangements by Bert Keyes, and an overall approach that's very similar to the Lorez Alexandria work on Argo with Riley Hampton. The style works very well for Ernestine, and thanks to a great batch of obscure sophisticated songs, the whole album's a real treat! Titles include "Keep An Eye On Love", "Evil Spelled Backwards Is Live", "I Believe In You", "Will I Find My Love Today", and the obscure Bacharach track "Out Of My Continental Mind". Juggy Murray conducted the band, too! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
