Temptations In Japan! (limited LP sleeve edition)
CD (Item 381318) Motown/Hip-O Select, 1973 — Condition: New Copy
One of the rarest Motown treasures of the 70s – a Japanese-only live album from The Temptations – recorded in a mode that captures the group in all their righteous power! The set was recorded at the end of 1973, and captures the group at the best tail end of their Norman Whitfield funky years – working with tight live backings in a setting that's nicely different than their studio sides of the time. And apart from the heavier, funky tunes of the Whitfield era, the group also slide back into a few well-chosen mellow cuts from the early years – sung with beautiful harmonies all the way through! Titles include "Masterpiece", "A Song For You", "Plastic Man", "Can't Get Next To You", "Hey Girl", "Way You Do The Things You Do", "Papa Was A Rolling Stone", "Love Woke Me Up This Morning", and "Cloud Nine". (Limited edition of 5000 copies – pressed up in a very cool LP-styled cover!) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
