Dreamy pop from one of the greatest groups on A&M! The Sandpipers were a haunting male harmony trio from the west coast of the 60s – one who hit big with a style that drew on the sounds of groups like The Four Freshmen or The Hi-Los, but who also infused their music with a Sunset Strip late 60s sense of ennui and marshmallowy pop wonder! This second album really has the group hitting their stride – working in ways that are sweet, yet dark at the same time – this strange sense of loss and languor that really makes the music stand out. Titles are a nice mix of obscure numbers, and include "Bon Soir Dame", "The French Song", "For Baby", "Glass", "Try To Remember", and "Rain Rain Go Away".
