Love Approach (plus bonus track)
CD (Item 547389) GRP/Big Break (UK), 1980 — Condition: New Copy
An excellent album of smooth jazz funk – and despite the fact that it was a monster hit for Tom, it's still pretty hard to find on wax! The record is a perfect example of how great R&B jazz fusion could be – well before the sound hit a kind of smooth jazz saturation point and there was just too much of it and of lesser quality. Tom's funky trumpet's set in a group with players like Lesette Wilson, Jorge Dalto, Bobby Broom, and Marcus Miller – and the arrangements are by Tom, Weldon Irvine, Lesette Wilson, and Dave Grusin. Includes the funky classic "Funkin' For Jamaica", plus "Her Silent Smile", "Moon Rise", "Nocturne", "Forever More", and "Weak In The Knees". This Big Break UK version includes one bonus track: "Funkin' For Jamaica (Single Version)". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
