LP (Item 83263) CTI, 1976 — Condition: Used

One of the most hard-jamming albums ever recorded for CTI – and a memorable set from British jazz rock guitarist Allan Holdsworth! The approach here is quite different than on the usual CTI set – really dominated by the guitar, and featuring tunes that take off on free flights of fancy – jamming in a style that you'd expect from American work by Lenny White or Stanley Clarke on CBS. Holdsworth also plays a bit of acoustic guitar on a few mellower, more introspective numbers – and titles include "Floppy Hat", "Gattox", "Velvet Darkness", "Kinder", and "Karzie Kay", which has a nice little break! (Cover has waviness from moisture.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
