Back Door Wolf (180 gram vinyl)
LP (Item 627863) Chess, 1973 — Condition: New Copy
Later Chess work by Howlin Wolf – but done in a rootsier electric mode that's similar to his earlier forays for the label! The set's from the years when Chess was backing off that great funk approach they brought to blues work at the end of the 60s – kind of a "back to basics" approach for which Wolf was a key contender. The album's got a fair bit of organ or electric keys alongside the guitar and harmonica – and titles include "Speak Now Woman", "Watergate Blues", "Leave Here Walking", "Back Door Wolf", "Coon On The Moon", and "Moving". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
