Wild work from a really unlikely source – a trio of lovely ladies who originally rose to fame on the TV show Petticoat Junction, but who work here in a perfect late 60s approach to Sunshine Pop! The groove is surprisingly great – as catchy and playful as the Roger Nichols Trio, with sweet female voices that rank right up there with the Four King Cousins – all set to great arrangements by George Tipton and Perry Botkin, as great as anything they were doing for bigger pop acts of the period. CD brings together both Imperial and Capitol singles from the group – and also features some previously unreleased tunes too!
