Les Oubliettes EP
7-inch (Item 566743) Philips/Universal (France), 1961 — Condition: New Copy
Very early work from Serge Gainsbourg – but still every bit as wonderful as ever! The tracks have Serge singing with small jazz combo arrangements by Alain Gouraguer – tight and groovy, maybe not as funky as later work, but still with an odd twist that shows that he was apart from the crowd, even early on in his career! The arrangements mix together flute, piano, percussion, and a bit of guitar – working through rhythms that range from lightly Carribbean, slightly Latin, and sadly jazzy. Titles include "Les Femmes C'Est Du Chinois", "Personne", "Les Oubliettes", and "Les Amours Perdues". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
