CD (Item 602271) Digitmovies (Italy), 1972 — Condition: New Copy

A surprisingly playful score – given that the film deals with a labor organizer – groovy, but in a 70s way, with lots of nice warm touches from the brothers DeAngelis! Some numbers have a bouncy theme that takes off from the main title music – almost an early 60s style of Italian whimsical scoring, with some slight echoes of Nino Rota, but carried off in a more contemporary manner. Other tunes bring in some slower, more contemplative styles – often with more 70s instrumentation, especially on keyboards and bass – but still with a slight sense of humor underneath. I Cantori Moderni sing in chorus mode on a handful of tracks – a slightly anthemic tune that we're guessing had a big place in the film – and the CD features 17 tracks in all, and great remastering.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
