Carole King – The Legendary Demos
CD (Item 607588) Hear Music, Late 60s — Condition: New Copy
Amazing stuff – and music that will really help open your ears to the genius of Carole King! All the tracks here were recorded as demos – at a time when King was more of a songwriter, and less of a lead artist on her own – yet still a hell of a charming talent in the studio, and clearly able to work some magic with her compositions that few of the artists making them famous could ever touch! Instrumentation is nice and stripped-down, but the feel is still relatively professional – almost like finding an indie spirit at a time when such a thing wouldn't have run through a scene like this – a vibe that really helps King's vocals come to the forefront. The feel is a bit like her pre-fame work in The City – and titles include "Like Little Children", "Pleasant Valley Sunday", "Crying In The Rain", "Way Over Yonder", "A Natural Woman", "Yours Until Tomorrow", "It's Too Late", "Tapestry", "Just Once In My Life", and "So Goes Love". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
