CD (Item 478719) Universal (France), 1960s/1970s/1980s/1990s — Condition: New Copy

An incredible collection of work from French film composer Georges Delerue – one that goes way past his famous soundtracks to offer up the full range of his feature film material from four different decades – plus some rare bits from short films and television as well! The package is tremendous – a book-sized set that contains 6 CDs plus a huge amount of notes and images too – every bit as great as the Serge Gainsbourg or Michel Legrand releases in this series, and filled with even more music than both of them! The short film and TV work is especially great – as we haven't seen it compiled on other reissues before – but there's also a heck of a lot of obscure feature film material too, including some unreleased work from demos and "work sessions" that's showing up here for the first time ever. Films include Women In Love, Anne Of The Thousand Days, Nobody Runs Forever, The Escape Artist, True Confessions, Rich & Famous, The Day Of The Jackal, Julia, The Day Of The Dolphin, L'Amour A La Chaine, L'Autre Femme, Rapture, Les Pianos Mechaniques, Silkwood, Crimes Of The Heart, Her Alibi, Mister Johnson, Les Gommes, Richard's Things, Premier Voyage, Le Mouton Noir, and The Horsemen. TV work includes La Cloche Tibetaine, Fortune, Les Visiteurs Fantomas, Tours Du Ciel, L'Oiseau Bleu, La Lettre Volee, and Thibaud Ou Les Croisades. Short Film work includes Les Guepes, L'Amour Existe, Au Verre De L'Amitie, Lautremont, and Paris Au Temps De Cerises. 6CDs, and over 7 hours of music!  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
