Third groovy volume in this great series – and we do mean groovy! The album features rare Latin and Latin Jazz tunes from hard-to-find albums in the Atlantic/Warner catalog – and it's got a great selection that's clearly aimed at the hipper side of the dancefloor. This volume pushes into the 70s a bit more than the first two, but the groove is still nice and hard, and the mixture of material really opens up some great tracks that had been languishing on overlooked albums. Titles include "Pana" by Malo, "A Little Wes" and "It Feels So Good" by Eddie Harris, "Hippo Walk" and "Featherbed Lane" by Mongo Santamaria, "Sting Ray" and "Slo Flo" by Ray Barretto, and "Typical Ted" and "Spider Legs" by Ted Curson. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
