So I Write
LP (Item 520929) ECM (Germany), 1990 — Condition: New Copy
Lovely early vocals from Sidsel Endresen – a set that possibly owes a bit to the experimental European vocalists of decades before, yet which already starts to show the new directions Sidsel and her generation would explore! The tunes are spare, but wonderfully thoughtful – sung by Endresen in a mode that's nicely understated – full of feeling, yet without being overly expressive – so that she's the warmest element on the session – alongside piano from Django Bates, percussion from Jon Christensen, and trumpet and flugelhorn from Nils Petter Molvaer. Titles include "This Is The Movie", "So I Write", "Horses In Rain", "Truth", "Spring", and "Mirror Images". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
