Stan The Flasher/Elodie
7-inch (Item 566750) Philips/Universal (France), 1990 — Condition: New Copy
One of the last singles ever issued by Serge Gainsbourg – and a sexy little tune that's definitely a key part of his legacy! "Stan The Flasher" has instrumentation that's more 80s than most of Gainsbourg's classics – but it's also got a way of slow-stepping and slinking along – using piano over the beats in this really nice way, so that there's a great sort of Euro-erotic vibe! "Elodie" continues, but with a slightly warmer feel – and although Serge wrote the music – and also directed and wrote the film – the whole single is instrumental. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
