A lost live set – billed under Lee Morgan's name as a leader, but essentially a Jazz Messengers performance from 1958! All the hallmarks of the Messengers at their live best are firmly in place – long numbers with plenty of room for solo space – as the key players in the group stretch out and inflect familiar tunes with fresh solos that really open things up!
