Night At Birdland Vol 2 (RVG remaster edition)
CD (Item 552484) Blue Note, 1954 — Condition: Used
Historic material from the early days of the Jazz Messengers! This 1954 session was recorded at the legendary Birdland nightclub, and it features the first incarnation of the Jazz Messengers, when the group included Clifford Brown, Lou Donaldson, and Horace Silver. Although this version of the band was not to last for long, it left an impression on jazz that shaped the music heavily for the next 10 years. Tracks include "Wee-Dot", "Quicksilver", "Confirmation", and the bonus tracks "The Way You Look Tonight" and "Lou's Blues". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
