CD (Item 581652) Tru Thoughts (UK), 2000s — Condition: New Copy

If any contemporary project that's been at it a decade or more ever deserved a lookback compilation, boy is it ever Will Holland and his Quantic! During the aughts, Quantic and associated projects delivered heavy throwback funk & soul, rawly splintering beatcraft, Caribbean and Latin steeped dancefloor funk, cumbia and psych – and it's ranged from wholly worthwhile to truly excellent each time out! He has a peer in Madlib for the unstoppable creativity and productivity, but Quantic's depth of global influences, so seamlessly blended with his own unique style is really in a realm of his own. Best Of Quantic is essential as both a reminder of Holland's reach as an artist and producer, but it's also a great place to jump in if you're only just now discovering his work. 32 tracks on 2CDs: "Time Is The Enemy", "Cumbia Clash" and "Life In The Rain" by Quantic, "Wandering Star" by Quantic & His Combo Barbaro, "Enough Said" by Kinny feat Quantic Soul Orchestra, ""Step Into A World (Rapture's Delight)" by Quantic Y Conjucto, "Don't Joke With A Hungry Man" feat Spanky Wilson, "Don't Joke With A Hungry Man" by Quantic Soul Orchestra feat Alice Russell, "Elemental" by Limp Twins, "Sabor" by Quantic feat Tempo and much more.  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
