Great later work from New Birth – quite different from their earlier albums, and much tighter overall – done with a smooth sophisticated modern soul groove that's light years ahead of their early party soul! The group's a lot more unified here – with less of the traded vocals and changing ensemble style of the RCA albums – and throughout the set, they emerge as a solid soul act to rival some of the bigger ensembles of the time! The album features some really strong extended tracks done in a sweet, mellow, midtempo groove – and titles include "I Never Felt This Way Before", "We Are All God's Children", "Fallin In Love", "Sure Thing", and "Hurry Hurry". (Cover has wear, a cutout notch, and some light stains.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

King, 1970. Very Good-
Further genius from James Brown at the start of the 70s – a record that's starting to show some of the more open-ended grooves he'd explore with the JBs on their own albums – longer, stretched-out tracks that are way more than simple funk and soul! There's a sense of freewheeling ... LP, Vinyl record album
