CD (Item 494978) Compost (Germany), 2009 -- Condition: New Copy

It's been a long long time since we last heard from Minus 8, but the wait's definitely been worthwhile -- as this album's one of the most soulful they've ever done! There's loads and loads of great keyboards on the record -- lots of Fender Rhodes, bubbling in beautifully between mellow beats -- sometimes in an instrumental setting, sometimes with soulful vocals from singers Virag and Miriam S -- both voices we haven't heard before, but which fit the spirit of the grooves nicely. Things are even jazzier than before, which we love -- and the album's one that's really renewed our faith in the Compost label, and the great grooves they used to bring us years ago. Titles include "Hustler", "Juy", "Close Your Eyes", "Winter Tales", "Everybody's Gotta Learn Sometime", "Last Nite", "Enigma Of A Summer Afternoon", "We're Waiting", and a cool version of "Gymnopedie No 1".  © 1996-2009, Dusty Groove America, Inc.
