Rare mid 60s Dallas roc and roll from the mid 60s – great stuff by the The Exotics and the Esquires – raucous, yet melodic tracks on the edge separating garage and psych! The Exotics were rock band with roots as far back as the late 50s scene, but these mid 60s tracks are very much of their time. The Esquires were formed in the mid 60s, and combine some delicate, kind of folk rock rooted style with harder edged sounds. The sound is great and well crafted enough to have crossed over to richer pastures, but still with a sharp edge. Includes "Come With Me", "I Was Alone", "Queen Of Shadows", "Hymn To Her" and more by The Exotics, along with some demos and alternate versions – plus "Come On, Come On", "Judgement Days", "Time Don't Mean So Much", "Loneliness Is Mine", and more by The Esquires. 24 tracks in all. © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
