LP (Item 581939) Harmonic Convergence, 2011 — Condition: New Copy
Lots of fire here in Joe McPhee's horn – captured in a recent live performance in Chicago! The sound is very open and freewheeling – that classic McPhee improvisational power, let loose in a trio that also features Fred Lonberg-Holm on cello and electronics, and Michael Zerang on drums – both familiar partners who gel wonderfully with Joe during the performance! The electronics give some moments an especially sharp edge – and McPhee plays both alto sax and alto clarinet during the performance. Titles include "Waiting For The Other Shoe To Fall", "The Why Not", and "Hmmm (For Maryanne Amacher)". (Limited numbered edition of 300 copies.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
