Misty
CD (Item 605086) Trio/Ultra Vybe (Japan), 1971 — Condition: New Copy
A rare vocal session from pianist Takehiro Honda – one recorded with Japanese singer Mama T, who sings here in English throughout! Mama's name is one that might make you think she's a blues singer – but her approach is mostly that of a 60s soul jazz vocalist – jazz at the core, but with some more soulful inflections at times, in a way that really takes the tunes and makes them her own! Honda's playing acoustic piano, using lots of bluesy undercurrents – and titles include "Misty", "Bell", "Stormy Monday", "For Once In My Life", and "I Love You More Today Than Yesterday". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
