CD (Item 570271) Capitol/Expansion (UK), 1988 — Condition: New Copy
A sweet post-Anita Baker effort from Chapter 8 on Capitol – a late album from the Detroit combo with lead vocals by Gerald Lyles and Valerie Pinkston – a nice one that we've been guilty of under appreciating over the years! The approach of trading male and female lead vocals along with duets works really well, particularly with songs as good as they are here, and with such memorable choruses throughout. Chapter 8 didn't have a lot of luck getting any big hits during this period, but that's not for a lack of quality! Nice stuff that works just as well as the bigger hits of the era. Titles include "Stronger Love", "Give Me A Chance", "I Can't Wait", "So In Love", "Understanding", "One & Only", "Real Love", and "Forever". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
