Add Item to Want List
LP (Item 36493) Rare Groove (Italy), 1960s — Condition: New Copy

Not the most groundbreaking bossa compilation in the world – but with loads of fun moments! The set features a super-groovy assortment of tunes that mixes together famous bossa groovers with some other more obscure numbers – and the overall feel of the whole thing is very much in a tight jazzy mode, with a strong 60s drive to it. Titles include "Bossa Nova (I Say)" by Bobby MacKay, "Samba De Uma Nota So" by Coral De Ouro Preto, "Boy From Ipanema" by Sarah Vaughan, "Samba Ninternacional" by Os Farroupilhas, "Telefone" by Walter Wanderley, "Menino Travesso" by Edison Machando, "Reza" by Paul Winter, "O Pato" by Pedrinho Mattar, "Mas Que Nada" by Tamba Trio, and "Upa Neguinho" by Edu Lobo". 18 tracks in all! (Please note that some tracks appear to have been mastered from vinyl, which causes some surface noise at a few points.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
