Love Fire
LP (Item 4070) Erect, 1981 — Condition: Used
An excellent bit of modern soul from Chicago – a group featuring lead vocalist Joyce Faison, who'd also done some backup work on other records at the time. Like some of the other titles on the Erect label, the groove here is a mix of mellow soul and 80s groove – and the best tracks have Joyce right out front on vocals, with nice shades of color behind her voice, supporting the tracks with a richer sound than you'd expect for a small label effort. Titles include "Do You Wanna Dance", "Thoughts", "Say You Love Me", "Thanks To The Fool", and "Tonight's The Night". (Cover has edge wear, a bit of marker, and a few light stains.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
