A nice, nice collection of work by PP Arnold – LA native, and a onetime member of the Ike & Tina Turner Revue, who ended up staying behind in the UK after a mid 60s tour, and went on to great fame recording 2 albums for the Immediate label in the mid 60s. This set collects the best of those two sets, tracing PP's growth from a simple Tina Turner soundalike into the hipper, more sophisticated darling of the UK rock scene she became. Titles include "The First Cut Is The Deepest", "Born To Be Together", "Dreaming", "To Love Somebody", "Would You Believe", "Speak To Me", "(If You Think You're) Groovy", "Am I Still Dreaming", and "As Tears Go by". (Cover has some light wear.)  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.

Atco, 1972. Very Good+ Gatefold
Massively beautiful work from the great Donny Hathaway! After two studio albums that had firmly put him on the map as one of the 70s best soul talents, Atco had the genius to have Donny record this live album before very enthusiastic crowds in Hollywood and New York. The result is one of the best ... LP, Vinyl record album

Buddah, 1976. Very Good
A wonderful debut from Aquarian Dream – a group who first appeared under the direction of Norman Connors – and who also have lots of the same blend of jazz, soul, and funk you'd find in Connors' own music of the time! Yet Aquarian Dream are very much their own bag, too – a ... LP, Vinyl record album

Revolucion
AVI, 1980. Sealed
Latin inflected club grooves by the legendary El Coco! The band was one of the most successful projects of the Rinder/Lewis production team – and although this album's not their best, it's still very much in their classic mode. Most tracks are nice and long, with a disco groove, and titles ... LP, Vinyl record album

3 Sounds
Blue Note, 1971. Near Mint-
The last Three Sounds album for Blue Note – and the funkiest too – thanks to lots more electrification than usual, and some killer arrangements from the mighty Monk Higgins! Monk's really at the top of his game here – going past even his great previous work for the group, and ... LP, Vinyl record album
