LP (Item 570649) Presspop (Japan), 2011 — Condition: New Copy

A pretty great little set that pairs the talents of Japanese avant garde vocalist, alto sax and clarinet explorer Akira Sakata with guitarist Jeff Parker (who can play anything with anybody, the man is incredible), Parker's fellow Tortoise member, drummer and stylistic chameleon John Herndon and bassist Nate McBride – live at the Umbrella Jazz Festival at Chicago's beloved Hideout! This limited edition vinyl document of the occasion looks and sounds great – with a cover illustration by Herndon and it was hand-pressed at Dexterity Press. LP1 includes "Free Radical Sign (One)", "Free Radical Sign (Two)" (each 13+ minutes), "Illusion From The Far East" and "In A Babble" (each closer to 20 minutes).  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
