A great introduction to the Chicago Steppers scene – one that not only features interviews and footage from events in the scene, but also some instructional details as well! The package features material from a wide range of events, and interviews with a number of key figures on the scene – really opening up the nature of this soul music genre that's often not that well understood outside of Chicago. The dancefloor footage is probably worth the price of the DVD alone – and it gives you a good taste of the kind of local programming we get here in our hometown!  © 1996-2014, Dusty Groove, Inc.
