Yambu
CD (Item 411114) Montuno, 1975 — Condition: New Copy
Sweet and sunny 70s Latin – the standout album from Yambu, a pretty hip group! The group's mostly a jazz-based one – and works with percussion from direction Milton Hamilton to forge a sound that's cleaner and more stripped-down than a lot of other groups at the time. There's some strong trumpet and trombone solos on the set, and a few cuts feature vocals by Rafy Puente – but most of the grooves are instrumental. Titles include "Caballo", "Professor", "Dinamita", "A New Thing", "Movin On", and a cover of "Sunny" with vocals by Lesette Wilson! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
