7-inch (Item 529890) Boddie/Numero, 1960s/1970s — Condition: New Copy

The first official release to come from Numero's epic excavation of the Boddie Recording Studio tapes – unheard Cleveland soul made by three unknown groups – issued here on three 45s, packaged in a 1/4"reel box with the replicated Boddie label! The Boddie Recording Company was operated in the home of Thomas & Louise Boddie on the east side of Cleveland, a full service recording studio and pressing facility. These raw, but beautiful soul recordings are officially credited to "Unknown", but Dante Carfagna's notes feature some compelling (and fascinating) clues as to who may be involved. Amazing stuff! The box itself is plain white with a tape seal printed with the beautiful Boddie label, with in insert photo card with notes by Dante Carfena. Includes "Let The Children Play" b/w "Never Let You Go", "Girl Across The Street" b/w "I Do Love You" and "Goodbye Baby" b/w "Selfish One". (Limited edition of 1080 copies.)  © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc.
