Roforofo Fight/Fela Singles (LP sleeve edition)
CD (Item 507397) Knitting Factory, 1972/1973 — Condition: New Copy
Brilliant stuff! Roforofo Fight hails from 1972 – an early full-length Fela LP, filled with 4 tight groovers that stand with his best work! "Go Slow" begins with this mad trumpet solo that you'll recognize from a famous sample, especially as it mixes in with keyboards; "Roforofo Fight" is a fast-time groover that has the drums working overtime to keep up with the political power of the cut; and "Question Jam Answer" and "Trouble Sleep Yanga Wake Am" are every bit as great! Plus, the CD contains two additional tracks – "Shenshema" and "Ariya" – both of which were only ever issued as singles. Both tracks were recorded during the same period, and they have a strange sound that makes them essential additions to any Fela catalog! © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
