Stolen From Strangers
CD (Item 476668) Do Right (Canada), 2008 — Condition: New Copy
Possibly the best album to date from Jun Miyake – a set that's every bit as enigmatic as his previous work, but somehow even better overall! There's a wonderfully visual sense to most of the songs here – almost little audio pictures in sound – put together with unusual instrumentation, soundtrack-like scoring, and some fragile vocals – all in a way that reminds us a bit of the late 70s/early 80s work of Pierre Barouh. Arto Lindsay sings on some tracks, and there's some elements here that definitely remind us of his music too – and other guests include Vinicius Cantuaria, Lisa Papineau, and Arthur H. Titles include "Alviverde", "O Fim", "The Here & After", "Turn Back", "Le Voyageur Solitaire", and "Easturn". © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
