Laugh In 69
LP (Item 72396) Warner, 1969 — Condition: Used
A great document of the hippest thing going on TV at the time – the full absorption of the 60s underground into mainstream TV culture! Producers Rowan and Martin bring together a cast that includes Henry Gibson, Joanne Worley, Dave Madden, Ruth Buzzi, and Goldie Hawn – all doing a variety of jokes set up in party-type settings. Jokes include a lot of countercultural and left-of-center references – all served up in standards clean enough to get by the censors on Monday night TV. The tracks on the album are all nice and short – really keeping the mad pace of the show – and titles include "The Big Cocktail Party", "Bus Stop", "Up Town", "Dum Dums", "Mecca", "Swingers", and "An American Institution". (White label promo. Cover has a promo sticker & edge wear. Spine has a spot of old tape.) © 1996-2013, Dusty Groove, Inc. | |||||
