Switch — Reaching For Tomorrow ... CD

A stone classic from Switch – one of Motown's leading hopes in the early 80s soul scene, and for good reason too! These guys have a wonderfully well-rounded approach – great on ballads and even more compelling on groovers – a balance here that puts them proudly in the company of contemporaries like Maze or Slave, with a sound that's sometimes right in the middle of both. We love the mellow cuts especially, as they really give the group a chance to show off their vocal chops – and singers include both Bobby and Tommy DeBarge. Titles include "Keep Movin On", "Get Back With You", "Don't Take My Love Away", "I Finally Found Someone New", and "My Friend In the Sky". Black Magic
Gordy, 1972. Near Mint-

Black Tie
Columbia, 1981. Near Mint-
Recorded in Chicago with producer Leo Graham – who brings a somewhat polished groove to the proceedings, no less soulful and lacking no depth of emotion from the mighty Manhattans! Titles include "Just One Moment Away", "You Stand Out", "Let Your Love Come Down" ... LP, Vinyl record album

Douglas, 1970. Very Good- Gatefold
The first album by the second group to call themselves the Last Poets – and as fierce a document of their rich talents as you'll ever find – bursting forth with anger and righteousness at a level as tight as Gil Scott-Heron's first album! The group here is the key second lineup of the ... LP, Vinyl record album
